These three concepts are synthesized in the KPS 25sc Krell Playback System, a component which combines a Krell reference quality compact disc transport, a digital filter/DAC, and a Krell Class A preamplifier that features both analog and digital switching--all in one breathtaking enclosure. The precision machined, clear acrylic cover highlights the top loading transport and is piston-damped. A custom electronic shutter is inset into the cover, within a hand buffed chrome surround. The whole cover assembly is a stunning bit of industrial design that provides an effective barrier against spurious light interference, for optimal laser performance.
