The massive, tuned base port, 30" long, with a volume greater than 300 cubic inches, lowers the bass frequency response by 1/3 octave. Articulating spikes allow precise leveling for the most accurate imaging.

The Lossless Acoustic Transducer (LAT) Series of loudspeakers share a number of advances that result in a tremendous sound quality. Fabricated from 1-1/2" of solid aluminum, the LAT cabinet is the most inert enclosure possible. The curved cabinet construction eliminates internal standing waves and external high frequency diffraction. Custom-made gold plated brass binding posts are included for maximum signal transfer.

The crossovers feature amplifier grade circuitry for maximum power handling and unrestricted dynamics. Individually printed circuit boards are fashioned from 1/8" glass epoxy, with four ounce copper traces for superior current flow. Air core inductors and banks of potted WIMA capacitors guarantee high linearity during high power output.

The tweeter is a waveguide design, devoid of ultrasonic resonance with a response flat to 50 kHz. A magnesium cone driver with a copper phase plug reduces resonance and reflections in the midrange drivers while increasing output capability. Custom-designed aluminum woofers are made exclusively for Krell and are optimized for the LAT enclosure.
