KRELL SHOWCASE PREAMP/PROCESSOR AND SHOWCASE AMPLIFIERS MAKE THEIR NORTH AMERICAN DEBUT AT HOME ENTERTAINMENT 2002 IN NEW YORK CITY
New York, NY -- Krell Industries, Inc., manufacturer of high-end audio and video equipment for music and home theater systems, is pleased to announce the United States premiere of the Showcase Surround sound preamp/processor and the Showcase Multichannel amplifier at the Home Entertainment 2002 Show in New York City from May 30-June 2, 2002. The Showcase products are Krell's most affordable preamp/processor and amplifiers and now put Krell's award winning sound and build quality within reach of a new generation of buyers.

Showcase Amplifiers
The amplifier boasts the latest Krell circuit topology and a substantial power output of 125 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms and 250 Watts per channel into 4 Ohms. It is available in five, six, and seven channel versions, with the ability to begin with the five channel version add additional channels as the system warrants. The Showcase amplifier features the newest Krell design enhancements that assure huge current capability and deliver further sonic refinement. They employ six output and two driver devices per channel. The voltage gain stages use Krell Current Mode, discrete Class A, direct-coupled, fully-complementary circuitry. The power supply features one massive 1,400 VA toroidal transformer with 60,000 microfarads of filter capacitance. Extensive power supply filtering and decoupling between stages assures low noise and high stability. The amplifier circuitry also features very low negative feedback. The retail prices of the Showcase products are $4,000 for the preamp/processor and $4,500, $5,000, and $5,500 for the amplifier in the respective five, six, and seven channel configurations. Shipments will begin in May 2002 to worldwide markets.
